When we hear the world "cult" our minds often create an image of gullible people who lack the intelligence to understand they're being manipulated by someone who is not what they seem.

Yet, the evidence suggests that this isn't the case, organistations change, purposes are hidden and often the truth is altered in such a way that often it is only when they reach their conclusions that the followers realise just what is going on.
