We head to Asia today as I welcome authors Komal Salman and Shaherzaad Laila to the show to discuss their fantastic new book "Heartstrings of the Kyhber - A Collection of Pashto Folktales".

This collection of stories has been published in English for the first time thanks to the diligent work of Komal and Shaherzaad in locating, researching and translating these wonderful stories for our enjoyment.

Within this carefully curated collection, readers are able to explore themes of love, loss, longing, and honour throughout the cultural ethos of the Pashtuns. Along with their Folkloristan project, Komal and Shaherzaad are bringing these lost tales to a far wider audience and saving them for generations to come!
