A few months ago a strange and unusual, massive, dark blob appeared on a map traveling north over Antarctica toward Africa—and 80-foot waves were spotted, as well. The official response was that it was a glitch in the system even though it stayed on the map for nearly an entire day. Then a month later, a new dark blob appeared in the exact same area. Now, for a third time, another massive, dark blob showed up again nearly in the exact same spot on the map. This time, though, it seems to be generated from a tiny, inhabited island called Bouvet Island, which is between Antarctica and South Africa.
