After a near-fatal car accident, Fama has focused on seeking unity through breaking down barriers surrounding ‘sticky’ subjects. Investigating themes of meaning, memory, identity, and change, she’s interested in exploring the tension inherent in our collective desire for the temporal and timeless. Recently, curiosity drove her to create/ask What Is Love, a project in which she drove across North America in an RV/pop-up photo studio, individually collaborating with over 300 passersby. This investigation of love took her to death; the two are so intertwined. As a result, Fama started investigating death, finding more connection to joy and serenity than expected in the process. Born in Tennessee, raised in Ontario and Zimbabwe, Fama is currently working out of Vancouver BC.

We return to our discussion of what led the Poway Synagogue Shooter (a devout Christian) to harm a group of Jews at a Chabad Synagogue. Our guest is acclaimed Christian author and theologian Michael Heiser. During our program Dr. Heiser disavows anyone who uses the Christian Bible to justify any act of violence. He educates us about the difference between legitimate Christians and illegitimate ones since the teachings of Jesus according to him do not promote being vengeful or violent against people who do not share the same beliefs. On this episode we focus on the Westboro Baptist Church, Bible verses used to justify hatred and better ways to interpret them.

In this week’s show our guest is Daniel Friedmann, an orthodox Jewish Chilean-Canadian scientist. He is an author of The Biblical Clock: The Untold Secrets Linking the Universe and Humanity with God’s Plan. He is a professional engineer and holds a master’s degree in engineering physics. For 20 years, he was CEO of a global communications and information company which built the space station robotic arms, he is still involved in space exploration and the Hubble telescope. Daniel Friedmann is conducting a virtual book tour promoting his book this summer.

The Biblical Clock is a fascinating read which discusses the 6 days of creation from a Jewish perspective which weaves their oral tradition to uncover the real age of the universe. Dr. Friedmann shares on our show how the prognosticated age of the universe of 13 billion years coincides with mystical Jewish ideas. We delve into the different religious camps which either read the Bible through a literal interpretation, a naturalistic way which explains away many ideas or a combination of both perspectives.

We also take a look at Jewish numerology or gematria and how Christian Cabbalists, Masons or others are interested in this subject. Dr. Friedmann would like to debate another scientist like Bill Nye the science guy but has not had the opportunity, like Ken Ham has regarding this topic. If you would like to know more about his books or get a copy of The Biblical Clock follow the following links.

Years ago a New Testament scholar told me that every time he went to an Interfaith event, his Jewish colleagues complained that he would say Antisemitic things in their presence. He was so tone-deaf to their concerns that he could not hear his bias and insensitivity.

In Christian circles it has become commonplace to dismiss and criticize Jews and Judaism. Often a lack of education regarding the development of the New Testament narratives leads to all types of Antisemitic tropes which are meant to ridicule and subjugate minority religions such as Judaism.

These criticisms often come from a desire to evangelize Jews, but at times it crosses the line between normative Christian perspectives to the same Anti-Jewish or Antisemitic polemics used by Church Fathers, Roman Catholic Inquisitors and Protestant dogmatists throughout history .

One of these tropes is the “Synagogue of Satan” concept which is discussed on the following episode of a Christian podcast:https://archive.org/details/4thWatchWithJustenFaullTexeMarrsTheSynagogueOfSatanMASTER
