September 27, 2023 Episode 8: Meditation Workshop - Recap
September 23rd, we hosted a Meditation Workshop live on Instagram. Everything went just as planned...NOT! We started a half an hour late, a dog can be heard in the background the ENTIRE time, Jena's toddler in the other room began crying...it was real. The thing about meditation is that you aren't always going to have the perfect environment to meditate. Sometimes you're going to have construction outside your window or have an itch JUST out of reach, but that's when you say "Thank You" to the Universe for the opportunity to practice through the chaos. It's in those chaotic moments that we need to find peace the most.

Pablo Santo’s origins are from the indigenous people of Peru, Ecuador, and other South American countries. While the Palo Santo tree is not endangered, it’s important to purchase yours from sustainable sources. For many years Palo Santo was harvested through deforestation.
Most notably, White Sage was a favored plant of the Native American peoples indigenous to the Pacific coast of the United States. White Sage is not only used for ceremonial purposes and smudging, but the plant is also used for food and medicinally. Modern spirituality and wellness practices have caused a surge in its popularity, which has resulted in over harvesting. Places that were once abundant in the herb are now barren making it increasingly difficult for Native Americans to forage the plant.
