Temperance: all about finding moderation in opposites and finding your balance, much like the yin yang symbol of balance. Finding the balance between purity and desire, duality, relationships, and the past and future coming together in the present.

Sophrosyne: a greek term that also means temperance, moderation, and self-control. Is seen in both epic poetry and tragedy, and it was also a political and ethical value.

Death is one of the most widely presented and misinterpreted card in the tarot deck. Death is unknowable and inescapable which makes it scary for us. The true meaning when it comes up in a reading is transformation. We look at the symbolism with the Death card, especially the flag and white rose, the people, and the skeleton riding a horse.

The Castration of Ouranos: Bitty relates the tale from Hesiod’s Theogony where Kronos castrates his father, and how this tale relates to the Death card.
