UNL College of Architecture's Program Director, David Karle, joins N'Studio to ring in the New Year, reflect on last semester, and gives tips on how to start the semester strong!
This week we sat down with first-year architecture student, UNL athlete, and international student from Germany Till Steinforth. We talked to him about the culture shocks of living in the US, how we got to where we are today in the UNL College of Architecture, why legos should be a bigger part of our lives, and much more.
Rachel and Charis sit down with one of UNL's most beloved instructors, Chip Stanley. Together they discussed how Chip became the architecture drawing professor, his art, and how #DesignPower became history.
This week, Quinn welcomes a long-time friend, collaborator, and fellow M.Arch student at UNL, Jamie Schacher to N'stduio. Together they discuss their prototype for attainable housing, Neighbor-Type, completed in the 2020 NEw Attainable Housing Studio led by Professor Jeff Day. Jamie compares her times in typical studios verse design builds and explains the importance of showcasing your work. And listen to the end for a surprise guest on the pod!
Neighbor-Type is a 2021 PAC College of Architecture Prize Winner and a 2021 AIA Nebraska Emerging Professional: Built & Unbuilt Merit Award Winner
