South African popular abstract painter Zander Blom announces to the world, with a manifesto printed and distributed at his new show, that he’s sick and tired of making work for everyone else! He now just wants to make work for himself, so that he can store it in his garage and so that he can feel free and justified. The protagonist finds this manifesto very cynical and notices a kind of sad irony where he wants to become Zander and Zander wants to become him.

Zanele Muholi 1 & 2: Zanele Muholi has been making new paintings. They are obviously bad paintings for a number of reasons and yet no one wants to say anything about it! The protagonist wonders, what does this tell us about the structure of the art world? and how do we see ourselves as role players in a fight for a better tomorrow? The first episode introduces Zanele Muholi and some drama that previously surrounded the work, and the second episode lays out a critique of the new paintings and tries to ask about the structure of things.
