In this podcast, I discuss a common objection to my favorite movie The Secret. I recently was speaking with a friend and he mentioned that he doesn’t like that the messaging revolves around financial success and material things. I address this objection in the podcast because I agree…money is NOT everything!
I also talk about where I learned about Mini-Retirements and how you can start planning for your own mini-retirement.
I talk about my partner, Tucker, and his relationship with money. I explain that his attittude towards money influenced my decision to start a business.
I later spoke to him about this topic and I would like to share, in his own words, how he would describe his financial choices. In the opening episode, I shared that I never want to embarrass my friends or family. It’s important that you hear my perspective, but I’d like for you to hear theirs as well.
“I might dispute that I’m just now establishing myself as a financially reliable person…I just made a large investment in my education and my immediate priority upon graduating wasn’t to get the highest paying job available so that I could pay back debt. Instead, it was to work for myself and seek experiences over savings. I’ve certainly learned some lessons the hard way throughout the last 5 years they’ve minimally contributed to my overall debt, but they’ve also positioned me to be successful with this next venture”
-Tucker Ballister

I also talk about the music festival where I first learned about ecommerce and the time I decided to wanted to work online.
