The gang welcomes Sarah from Indiana on Tap from the podcast back for her fourth appearance and force her to listen to their nonsensical discussion about Adam Sandler movies, Kevin Smith, and Saturday Night Live. Max (of course) finds a way to work porn into the discussion (sorry, mom), Bryan eggs him on, and Jason reads his favorite poem. We normally swear a lot, but we're all actually a little embarrassed by how explicit this one got, so we apologize in advance. We'd been drinking.
Oh, and at the end Jason talks about how business owners need to deal with every day stresses by living in the present moment.
The gang has blabbers on about Cocktail, Office Space, and whether or not astronauts should have cyanide pills in their space suits. We play Stump the Brewers on the top grossing movies of all-time based on books, Jason beefs on movie theatre workers, Max does a funky beat box, and Bryan has some dynamite drop ins. Near the end Jason talks about how the word "passion" is a misnomer and everyone is going to hate their job at some point. I forgot to mix down the audio, so it's a little loud but I'm too lazy to fix it. Nanobrew!
The gang comes back together after a three week hiatus and it feels so right...and yet things go so wrong. What starts out to be the usual shenanigans turns into a lot of discussion about books, writing, and other deep psychobabble. Jason talks about the nano-expansion in Zionsville, Max says some really dirty stuff about the female anatomy, and Bryan smarts in your face. We don't come out and say it, but the overall theme of the podcast is being able to turn negatives into positives. We all have shit we're dealing with - how do we get through it and become better people for going through it?

The gang welcomes Sarah Burns from Indiana on Tap back to the podcast as the first member of the three-timers guest appearance club. Sarah's Nanobrew: The Podcast veteran status is cemented in history by mashing-up our beatboxed theme song with Kelis's 2003 smash hit, "Milkshake." Jason's nano-tip is about making money, Max unveils his choice's for Max's Month of Movies, and Bryan talks about his nipples. This is some very important shit we're covering here.
The gang welcomes Books & Brews regular Pete to the podcast and everyone gets drunk at an alarming rate. In hindsight, skipping lunch was a critical mistake. Through the haze of intoxication we talk old business, Max works Nic Cage into the discussion yet again, and the gang tries to guess which animal kills the most people annually. Jason gives the best Nano Tip of all-time: your small-business mental sanity is greatly dependent on how low you set your expectations. In other words, give yourself some room to be happy by full expecting a consistent level of bad stuff happening every week. See also: mo' money, mo' problems.
