Yesterday the NASHVILLE PREDATORS and the NHL announced that the 2023 NHL Awards Show and the 2023 NHL Draft would both be held right here in Smashville next June. The two events are a big opportunity for Nashville to again showcase its hockey town vibe, and on today's Locked On Predators Nick and Ann talk about yesterday's big announcement. We discuss why the NHL doing some things differently in 2023 will make that week in late June a better experience for NHL players, teams, and fans. While Bridgestone Arena has been announced as the home for the draft, the location for the Awards show hasn't been announced, so Nick and Ann give our favorite picks for where the NHL should consider. After a pretty dry awards show in 2022, we make some suggestions for the people and places that may spice up the event in Nashville. We also share the places we definitely DON'T want to see host and the one thing both Nashville and the NHL have to be wary of doing to make next summer's hockey week a huge success.
