9.18.20 - Day 4/13 of the White Dog wavespell * Lunar Moon 27

Today is a portal day. It's also 260 days after January 1, 2020. This Gregorian year, named for its first day on the Tzolkin, is a Red Self-Existing Skywalker year. That's also Barack Obama's Mayan birthday. And Bill Clinton's. So the augury could be that it's a Democratic presidential year. However, we were thrown a pretty dark shadow in the death of a liberal supreme court justice at the last gasp of this Lunar Moon, reminding us that every heroic, underdog victory comes after trials instigated by harsh fates and bad actors. We are in only the second moon of the 13 Moon, the second year of a 13-year wavespell. There is a lot that is challenging at each outset.

9.15.20 - Day 1/13 of the White Dog wavespell * Lunar Moon 23

Don't lose this opportunity to experience the epicenter of Lunar tone activity. Tomorrow is a Lunar day, Lunar Moon, Lunar year. You can augur the surrounding year, even the 13-year wavespell we've entered, by tuning into the layered frequencies of the amplified Lunar tone: polarizing, stabilizing, challenge. In shorthand, this Lunar moment gives name and clarity to the problems in our lives, which is a way to begin to solve and resolve them. We're not flying blind into hardship; we've been exposed to difficulty for a while, and now we're able to see its size and shape so that it doesn't overwhelm us. We can work from the clarity of our Lunar challenges as they arise right now to enter the next phase of using them to strengthen us and grow.

9.9.20 - Day 8/13 of the Red Earth wavespell * Lunar Moon 18

The Mayan year we're in perfectly replicates 1968-9 and it's interesting to see the parallels - some broader strokes of similarity and some that are particularly on point. 52 years ago big themes were space exploration, Vietnam war, assassination and protest - and the election of Richard Nixon. We can't know how the immediate future will imitate the past, but we can certainly feel the Blue Lunar Storm year as churning, explosive and polarized, then and now. I think it's worth notating, preparing ourselves for and perhaps spending time in ceremonial awe that the American election on November 3 is also Blue Spectral Storm. I can't think of a worse implication in some ways - it will not be an easy day. It could be the most powerful, awesome breakthrough to serve the surrounding Red Moon wavespell of purification, but it could also be another hit of destructive, chaotic force that seems to break us wide open. Wide open implies release and ultimately receptivity, but sometimes at the cost of control, peace and ease. We shall see. Good to be together in consciousness for that significant transit.

9.6.20 - Day 5/13 of the Red Earth wavespell * Lunar Moon 15

We're heading into the third, western week of the Lunar Moon. The first week is fire/mind, the second week is air/spirit, and now we are at water/emotions, to be followed by the final southern week of earth/body. This is the cyclical experience of every 28-day moon. Always in this third week we feel more, and we also weather the shift from air to earth, through the fluidity and force and motion of the water element. Our feeling state is our own waterworks, water-way, our body of water. So feelings deepen and gain dominance, so they seem intense or outsized in this passage. Also surrealism - instead of base logic - has its role as we enter the night sky (colored Blue) and the dreamtime.

9.2.20 - Day 1/13 of the Red Earth wavespell * Lunar Moon 11

We're in the heart of the exploration of polarity - when things are more clearly this or that. The advantage of this delineation is that it allows us to make better choices. We know more clearly what's going on. If there's any disadvantage, it's likely that our attention is drawn to a constant evaluation, not much relaxation or anything like being adrift. Enjoy how you can now understand 'problems' or challenges that even weeks ago were so vague, amorphous, encompassing, overwhelming. You can mark what/how/who/where the difficulty exists, while also seeing clearly what your strengths are, where there is light and ease. You can aim towards a balance, or a bridge, between the extremes.

8.30.20 - Day 11/13 of the Yellow Seed wavespell * Lunar Moon 8

The portals are essentially behind us but we've come so far, so deep, in their extended act of opening to ourselves. We may find things from this portal run that were buried so deep it took this kind of excavation to uncover them. It might be as if we never even realized what was within us, fortifying us toward a whole new strain of selfhood. Yellow Seed's intent to ultimately bloom and bear fruit assures us that what we've seen or learned about ourselves in this time is the growth we're going to achieve eventually.

8.26.20 - Day 7/13 of the Yellow Seed wavespell * Lunar Moon 4

We're in the Lunar Moon which has an interesting dichotomy of hardship and ease. The difficulty is that we're in a Blue Storm year and being shown what about that tribe is shadowy, dark, torrential. There is an uptick in chaos just to remind us we've entered the catalyzing transformation that precedes the return to sunshine - a way of describing enlightenment. There's no way to cruise through the varying upheaval that kicks off this distinct year. But the Lunar tone is also a gateway to understanding the ways that we suffer, the obstacles that arise, the truth that some portion of life is always laced with suffering. We can examine that concept exponentially right now, a Lunar Moon within a Lunar year: the polarization of what we find easy from what we find difficult, the light side of the moon and the dark.

8.22.20 - Day 3/13 of the Yellow Seed wavespell * Magnetic Moon 28

We close out the Magnetic Moon - the first 28-day segment of our Mayan year - just as we start the 10-day portal run housed in the Yellow Seed wavespell. There's also an immediate transit to the second, Lunar Moon, which reflects the overarching Lunar year: Blue Lunar Storm. The portals intensify and open our lives, and there's a hint of the future as move through them in this Yellow Seed time of starting at the very beginning, the dense, potent basis for all further growth. The Lunar tone is more the identification of challenge than the indication of it. We've been directly challenged since the Magnetic year that recently ended. But now we are fortified to understand the challenges that have already occupied our lives, we begin to unthread their hard and haunting aspects from what is our strength and prevailing purpose.

8.19.20 - Day 13/13 of the Blue Monkey wavespell * Cosmic Moon 25

The Blue Monkey wavespell ends with the Magnetic Moon completing in a few more days. It's been a lot of energy, intensity, movement to greet this new Mayan year and regress to the primal, childlike experience of the Blue Monkey tribe. Not still at all - what child is? The Magnetic tone is always undeniably potent, portentous, busy and pressing us toward an unfolding destiny at full velocity. Take a moment to note what has come into your life the past 4 weeks: this is your blueprint for your year, in some psychic sense. You'll enjoy remembering how what ultimately manifests this year was pinpointed here at the outset.

8.16.20 - Day 10/13 of the Blue Monkey wavespell * Cosmic Moon 22

I've had the realization in the recent days of the Magnetic Moon that whatever I may have told myself about this new Mayan year being potentially smooth and uplifting (perhaps formed of how things were developing in the prior year's Cosmic Moon of presence, devoid of action and upheaval) - that was a childish fantasia or Blue Monkey mind. I am feeling adult seriousness return after this small reprieve in imagination and illusion, and the awareness of what a storm front is and how unavoidable its grandeur and impact is. It's an endless summer of overheating under climate stress, but we're bearing down on an apocryphal winter, metaphoric and literal. So it's time to center, strengthen, and wake up, be watchful. The Blue Lunar Storm year's moment of purpose is delivering this prophecy.
