8.12.20 - Day 6/13 of the Blue Monkey wavespell * Cosmic Moon 18

There can be a lot of joy and childlike zaniness in this time. We can act like children. This is a privilege, to return to innocence, and also an ineffective time and place to make truly adult, mature decisions. Watch your imagination and yearnings run wild in desire, enjoy the expansion of free association and fantasy. Infuse yourself with youthful wonder. And wait a while before assuming this state of mind is permanent or the means to actualize all this appetite for giddy dreaming and wonder. Patience is a developed counterbalance to guileless want.

8.9.20 - Day 3/13 of the Blue Monkey wavespell * Cosmic Moon 15

The Blue Monkey wavespell can be so fun and so free. Maybe the only caution is to not take that fun and freedom too seriously. Or expect that it can last. Or make decisions right now under the assumption this is how life is going to be from now on. Any childlike wonder, ease, lack of responsibility can be directly attributed to the wavespell we're in - already 3 days gone - and when it passes we will have less access to some of these preferred states of being. Enjoy the access at hand, like a vacation that cannot replace the job we return to. To decide mid-vacation that we want to always be on vacation so we quit the job - or relationship, or move, or rewrite all our set plans in order to try to make this fun and freedom endless - rarely works out. But we can love this moment of unlimited movement - physical and spiritual. And rest from the usual intense daily demands that encompass adult responsibility.

8.5.20 - Day 12/13 of the White Mirror wavespell * Cosmic Moon 11

The White Mirror wavespell resolves today and it would be worthwhile to really assess what it was you were asked to sacrifice, what you experienced as heartbreaking, and how the light enters all those new crevices. In theory, a broken heart takes up more space than a whole one, a form of expansion and growth. If the heartbreak wasn't yours, it was around you in the culture and it's also part of our ceremonial passage to pay attention to those who made the transition of a kind from here on earth to a broader spirit world - not necessarily literal, a death, as much as a forced shift in consciousness through loss. Next is the Blue Monkey genesis, and perhaps lighter fare.

8.2.20 - Day 9/13 of the White Mirror wavespell * Cosmic Moon 8

There's so much difference in the intensity and speed of a Magnetic Moon, especially shifting from a year of timelessness and enchantment (White Wizard) to catalyzing transformation and the identification of challenge (Blue Lunar Storm). In addition we're climbing the stairway to heaven in the White Mirror wavespell of rituals of sacrifice and giving our whole heart to close in on the divine space that informs and outlasts this planetary reality. A lot to live through right now!

7.29.20 - Day 5/13 of the White Mirror wavespell * Cosmic Moon 4

It's so exciting that the Magnetic Moon is such a fervid launch into the new Natural Time year - especially after the insistent languor of the Cosmic Moon just past us. To shift gears and ignite new karma is the theme of every new year, but it still seems exactly that - new - every time it arrives. Let the fast pace and even discombobulation you may be experiencing be a testament to the truth of Mayan wave rhythms.

7.25.20 - Day 1/13 of the White Mirror wavespell * Day Out of Time

The year White Magnetic Wizard is complete and now we enter Blue Lunar Storm, the second of a 13-year wavespell. The Lunar tone indicates separating dark forces from light, which is a heroic challenge and the nature of our whole year's work. Feel into the singular day, Blue Lunar Storm on Sunday July 26, to augur the entire year that unfurls from this departure point.

7.22.20 - Day 11/13 of the Red Serpent wavespell * Cosmic Moon 26

A presentation on the 20-day 'vinals' that make up an original and most authentic Mayan year, synchronized to end alongside the more universal 13 Moon year that Jose Arguelles incorporated into his Natural Time oeuvre. Happy end of the cycle everyone! See you next year ;).

7.19.20 - Day 8/13 of the Red Serpent wavespell * Cosmic Moon 23

We are entering the final days of the 13 Moon year and can find parallel ceremonial intensity if we also examine the most esoteric of the Mayan calendars explored in Natural Time: the 20-day 'vinals' that count the year as a series of rotations through the Tribes, counted on our fingers and toes. Feel the Cosmic close out and the Red Serpent portal stream as we also enter the 5-day 'vayeb' that begins on Tuesday and takes us until the new year's on July 26: Blue Lunar Storm.

7.15.20 - Day 4/13 of the Red Serpent wavespell * Cosmic Moon 19

Bearing down on the transit between years as well as the funnel of Red Serpent's portal stream. The contemplation of the year's end and renewal is a celebration of the intensity of the 13 moon wavespell journey. We can remark on what has happened, what has been achieved and endured. And we can rest and move toward the meditation of the ancient Maya in this time of completion and connection to the next phase of growth.

7.12.20 - Day 1/13 of the Red Serpent wavespell * Cosmic Moon 16

A new wavespell, but the last Magnetic day of the White Magnetic Wizard year. There is the opportunity for reflection, synthesis, and closure of the year that is imminently ending, in anticipation of the renewal and urgency of the year soon to begin. It's similar to what Gregorian year transits look like, with the exception that we do not make plans or intentions for the year to come, only try to prepare ourselves in peace and openness for the purpose that will naturally be delivered to us in the Magnetic Moon.
