4.29.20 - Day 5/13 of the Blue Hand wavespell * Planetary Moon 26

This Planetary Moon has really taken us to the most dense, static place in the whole Mayan year. We are at the very peak of a 10-moon ascent and about to tip over. It makes sense that things have slowed, seemed to be moving at a glacial pace by comparison to the fiery Solar Moon and its last stages of pushing us up as far as we could burn into the atmosphere. Time to turn homeward, Rocket Man. And stop dreams of blasting out of earthen reality into the stars. We are obviously facing planetary issues in our cultural surround, but also seeing manifestation to personal wishes and dreams evolved through our entire year to date. Maybe the societal wishes and dreams and the dashing of both is a hotter topic since we've been in quarantine. But you can still trace what has happened in the past 26 days, culminating on Friday's final stage of the Planetary tone, that is your personal high point and greatest achievement in this annual climb skyward.

4.26.20 - Day 2/13 of the Blue hand wavespell * Planetary Moon 23

I've been drawn to revisit the emerging themes of our relatively new Tzolkin cycle - what are the basic lessons and intrigues that began to take shape on March 30, 2020 as we now plunge through wavespells that will develop and interpret our first associations and impulses from that Red Dragon time. I also feel the mental fixations of the Blue Hand wavespell, just upon us. It's a time of great healing, but also compulsion and fixation on accomplishment. We will have time and the predilection for both, as it unfolds.

4.22.20 - Day 11/13 of the White Wizard wavespell * Planetary Moon 19

I am stumbling for words when we utter many fewer and also there's so much heaviness in the Planetary Moon making me a bit dense. I hope this podcast at least addresses the burden and intensity of the Planetary tone as it is so thickly upon us, and another stab at the apocryphal passage of a White Wizard wavespell in a White Wizard year and overlying 13-year White Wizard wavespell. Beyond that, I think I'm a little out of sorts and not stir crazy but stifled. I am another yourself, perhaps!

4.19.20 - Day 8/13 of the White Wizard wavespell * Planetary Moon 16

The White Wizard wavespell celebrates timelessness - the ability to feel the 'now' moment as expansive enough to include the surrounding centuries, not just the seconds or minutes of our unfolding day. So we're a little stretched out and untethered to clocks and calendars and we would be even if our cultural orientation to schools and jobs each day weren't out the window. We have triple White Wizard energy for another handful of days - a 13-day wavespell, 13 moon wavespell,  and 13 year wavespell all imbued with its celebration of shamanism. Let that depth of experience in healing, seeing, sitting in sanctuary fill you up, before it fades a little. It's actually such a luxury to be disoriented and undriven by timekeeping, something we'll miss when we wind up once more.

4.15.20 - Day 4/13 of the White Wizard wavespell * Planetary Moon 12

Let's gear up for the quickening of the Planetary Moon as it transits on Saturday 4.18 to the Blue western week and stage of transformation. The times we're in are demanding, the Planetary Moon has its particular intensity, and I think anticipation of potential emotional havoc or chaotic shifts in belief and karmic quick-turns in our relationships is a good practice these next few days. Get ready, just as our societal structure has shifted entirely to talks of preventative measures. Use the remaining days aligned with spiritual presence in the north to calm, pray, meditate, be imbued with space and blessing.

4.12.20 - Day 1/13 of the White Wizard wavespell * Planetary Moon 9

Today is the 'Galactic Return' of our 13 Moon year. It's 260 days after the new year's day, July 26, 2019. So it's the same Tzolkin day, White Magnetic Wizard, which is also what our year is named, and represents for its entire 365-day run. Today is a kind of the first and most prominent manifestation of White Magnetic Wizard in our lives - personal and collective. Then we have the rest of the year (105 days) to live in the beyond-manifestation, an exploration in essence, afterbirth and how we are in turn affected by what has grown to such grandeur. White Magnetic Wizard, the year, leads a 13 year wavespell that is oriented to White Wizard. Today is a White Wizard day in a White Wizard year in a White Wizard wavespell of 13 years. Be shamanic, be timeless, be enchanted.

4.8.20 - Day 10/13 of the Red Dragon wavespell * Planetary Moon 5

I have struggled with the directive to make a podcast within the pandemic where so much separation is in place. I'm comfortable with a lot of downtime, isolation and introversion so it's not hard to hit that mark, but it does seem challenging to come out of it for a podcast episode - all talk, and attempting at the same time to be succinct and focused. It's as if I've lost the muscle! So I have two podcasts aired today, one from yesterday that I felt sort of ashamed of for the oversharing, which you can find on Soundcloud. And then this one. They're both highly imperfect and issued from a place of uncertainty in myself. Enjoy!

4.5.20 - Day 7/13 of the Red Dragon wavespell * Planetary Moon 2

I forgot in this episode to reflect on the overall implications of being in the very front end of the Tzolkin again, but my epic discourse on matriarchy vs. patriarchy is one way to launch into the beginning of the cycle. The Mayan creation mythology is told through the 20-tribe line up of the Tzolkin, always starting at the female divinity (Red Dragon) and her masculine counterpart (White Wind). Please see how it is plainly presented - and differentiated from so many other theologies - that the cycle of life begins with the sacred mother. We're in that specialized time right now, and can learn about the power it offers as well as what seeks to undercut it. We can see it outwards in the behaviors of others, and we can admit where we struggle with this duality within ourselves: impulses to care, connect, keep safe are sabotaged by selfishness, brutish strength and determined isolation.

4.1.20 - Day 3/13 of the Red Dragon wavespell * Solar Moon 26

The Red Dragon wavespell is the first of our new Tzolkin cycle and from day 1 I noticed it was thick karma with a promise of 260 days full of learning and unlearning, overcoming and coming undone. I was shocked awake and cried a bunch - like a newborn baby, I guess. But by the Lunar day, I could parse out the challenge from the magnitude of the purpose now, which is to nurture, be motherly, be the goddess. Men, women, no barriers or restrictions to access. Take care of those you can reach and be warm. Nourish and be encompassing. This is natural. The resistance is a patriarchal shadow dance, a tired habit, and again not restricted to men. Watch your own oppression of the divine feminine, and then shed it.

3.29.20 - Day 13/13 of the Yellow Star wavespell

It's the last day of the Tzolkin! Please don't miss or underplay this transit. What began for you last summer - July 13 - is now coming to gestational fruition. It seems perhaps too much that the end of this Tzolkin story is waylaid by a warlike onslaught by pandemic, but there is so much beauty (as we finish the Yellow Star wavespell) and purity in how human life has been drastically altered. Like we're listening to nature and the earth itself, rather than our egos. What for you personally is parallel, is completing, is renewing right now? Take a note, since there's time.
