We are able to help others with the help that we have first received. Today's message will focus on the gospel which is both at work in us and which is also at work through us. Understanding the four basic elements of God's love will enable us better to see and engage God's amazing pattern producing radical personal transformation.

Godliness is not self-generated. Today's message will focus on God's working within us to change us from what we were to what He has purposed to be. Spiritual change is not optional for believers; it has been guaranteed! As we examine our hearts in preparation for communing with our loving Savior, be assured that God is committed to finishing the work of "change" that began in us (See Phil. 1:6)!

We are all familiar with Solomon's imperative in Proverbs 3:5 where he boldly commands people to Trust in the Lord with all your heart. But if "trusting God " was so organic, Solomon would not have been led by God to insert it so prominently! Today's message will focus on God: when we see(by faith) the 3 essential Biblical truths about Him, we will want to run towards Him-and never leave!

"See now, I dwell in a house of ceder, BUT the Ark of the God dwells inside tent curtains." David's heart was stirred; he longs for God to be honored. Our meetings with God should parallel such a delight in God. You can see David's heart for God in his musics and lyrics!

"And the fame of David went out into all the lands". David's attentiveness to God's direction produced an interesting result: everyone seemed to know about it. David's influence became greater and greater as people realized that he was on God's team!

"You shall be shepherd of my people" David's skills with the sheep are now being elevated to care for God's flock. As we see David's mighty men, we see parallels with Christ's disciples -- who have spent time with Jesus.

"That all the world may know that there is a God in Israel" David's desire is expansive -- to let the known world know! He is not hiding this great news! In this exposition, we will see how evangelism is paralleled with his "fighting the good fight".
