Neanderthals have long been considered not quite as human as we are. But the more we study them, the more obvious it becomes that they were humans just like us.

Did you know Neanderthals made fish hooks, musical instruments, rope, jewelry, make up, and even glue? They even practiced dental hygiene and cared for each other’s medical needs.

This doesn’t surprise those who start with God’s Word. Neanderthals were descendants of Adam and Eve, made in God’s image, just like us. They may have looked a little different from us, but this just highlights the incredible variety in human DNA that God created in the first place.
