What up fam :) So as you know, this motivational musical I’m putting together, #LIFEPARTY, is a super big passion project of mine. I’ve been working on it for 3+ years and I thought I was ready to start performing it and even confirmed my first two gigs here in Detroit...but something was eating at me...something felt unfinished. When I was about 8 years old, my dad would tape Bobby Brown when he was on Arsenio Hall...and I would watch his performances of My Prerogative and Every Little Step over and over and over again and that is how I taught myself how to dance :) I love dancing. It’s in my blood. When I go to a wedding it’s like game on :) and that is the feeling I wanted to create with this show. It’s like, why do we have to wait once every few years to celebrate a wedding to dance?! Let’s just celebrate LIFE :) so that’s the essence behind #LIFEPARTY. So I decided to take a step back and dig back into my childhood roots and dreams and tomorrow I start working with a choreographer
