It was an episode that started off with one of Brad's worst jokes ever. An episode that heard Dave describe a well-timed fart. An episode that discussed Fred Durst, John Travolta, and "The Fanatic" movie.

But then something happened -- the guys got a little smart. And they aim this newfound brainpower onto topics like mob mentalities, COVID-19 conspiracies, and new takes on the "new normal." Don't worry - they still swear a lot.

Since everyone's stuck in lockdown (unless you're from Georgia), sit back and join the conversation. You may not agree with all of it, but you can't argue this is one of the most well-rounded NTS episodes yet.

Still stuck at home, the guys nonetheless manage to find humor within the chaos, in a week that saw religion-themed coronavirus headlines, a ridiculous Tom Brady interview, and even the show's first-ever legal entanglement.

In a world gone mad, the guys know how to grab a little laughter from the quarantine, by discussing things that just couldn't possibly be real. Grab a beer and hang out for a few hours - it's not like you have better things to do.

It took a few weeks, but the guys finally figured out how to do a remote episode without sounding like they're in a barrel of tar. So, they celebrate by discussing some of the "lighter moments" that happened over the last week or so.

By discussing everything from Zoombombing to Busch beer to Lindsay Lohan's weird freckles, the guys are slowly getting used to the new normal, flattening the curves of their livers along the way.

The world situation sucks. Technology sucks. Remote podcasting sucks. But these are the cards on the table. For the second week in a row, Craig, Dave, and Brad isolated themselves to digitally discuss how they're getting their minds off COVID-19, ignorant people, horrific news and quarantine boredom.

And, because it's NTS, they also get into Pablo Escobar, Britney Spears, desert island entertainment, and even bathroom head trauma. It's not ideal, and it's sometimes hard to hear... but it's gonna take a lot more than a virus to stop these dummies now.

"Antisocial Distancing." "Riff." "Live Without a Net." The guys could have named their first-ever remote episode anything. But, even with the obvious technical issues (including Dave's liver failure), they pulled it off.

And good thing, because despite the sound problems, this episode represents the premiere of Psycle's amazing new single "Kill the Machine" -- coming soon to rock radio near you. (Just remember, you heard it here first.)

This ISN'T what Needless to Say normally sounds like. And this WON'T become our "new normal." But for the time being, it's gonna have to do. Stay safe, hunker down, and isolate yourselves with NTS.

It was bound to happen. After just a few days of self-quarantine, the guys got together with a plan and a purpose... and within a few minutes of reflecting on coronavirus, the train lost its conductor and got derailed in the least-expected ways.

The goal of the week? Talking about guilty pleasures. The result? Bathroom discoveries, condom mishaps, and even a little dose of social politics.

Maybe it's scattered. Maybe it sounds like the guys were trapped in a quarantine haze, but given the state of the world, it's exactly what Brad, Dave and Craig needed... and maybe what you need, too.

No Corona beer cracks. No lame-ass lyme puns. No resorting to memes for inspiration. Instead, this week the guys infect your ears with some honest talk about COVID-19, coronaviruses in general, Chinese health conditions, and Corey Feldman.
