  • Picture This (1 of 4)

Join us as we explore how the gospel of Jesus Christ is like a radiant light penetrating the darkness of our world. Paul's teaching in 2 Corinthians 4 reveals that God's truth powerfully dispels darkness. We'll reflect on our critical role as bearers—not creators—of this illuminating message, the necessity of leaning on God’s grace when sharing our faith, and the importance of trusting God to open the eyes of unbelievers. Discover practical ways to live out and share the life-changing hope found in the good news.

    Question for Consideration

    - How can you intentionally rely more fully on God's grace and power, rather than your own skills or methods, when sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those around you?

  • Comfort and Affliction (3 of 3)

This week’s message focuses on 2 Corinthians 3, exploring the themes of comfort and transformation brought by the Spirit. Paul contrasts the old covenant of the law, which brings condemnation, with the new covenant of the Spirit, which brings life and freedom. The sermon emphasizes the sufficiency of God over human efforts, the surpassing glory of the new covenant, and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in believers' lives. Through the indwelling of the Spirit, believers are being continually transformed, experiencing freedom from the law's condemnation and bondage to sin.

    Question for Consideration:

How can we actively embrace and reflect the freedom and transformation brought by the Spirit in our daily lives, ensuring that our lives truly display the glory of God to those around us?

  • Comfort and Affliction (2 of 3)

Join us this week as we continue an extended study through 2 Corinthians, centering on the themes of comfort and affliction. Addressing the doctrine of suffering, we see that suffering draws believers closer to God, teaching reliance on His strength over self. Comfort, as the other side of the same coin, is grounded in God's faithfulness, His promises, and restorative forgiveness among believers. Through the example of Paul’s dealings with the Corinthian church, we are called to pursue confession, extend forgiveness, build restoration, and cling to the eternal hope of God's victory through Christ. True comfort is found in God's character and His unchanging promises.

    Question for Consideration

How does understanding suffering and affliction transformyour perspective on personal hardships or challenges?

In this text we’ll uncover how our trials—whether rooted in life's brokenness or the consequences of sin—are opportunities to draw closer to Him and experience His transformative grace.

We'll also take a closer look at the contrast between the world's pursuit of health, wealth, and ease and the lasting, soul-deep comfort promised by God. With Scripture as our guide, I’ll share why turning to God and sharing our stories of faith during challenging seasons can strengthen not only our own walk, but others’ as well.

  • >Me, Myself, and I (3 of 3)

This week we explore the practical implications of faith from Hebrews 13. Key themes include:

    - Showing Christ-like love through hospitality and caring for those in need

    - Pursuing holiness in marriage and personal life

    - Guarding against false teachings and staying grounded in sound doctrine

    - Submitting to godly leadership in the church

    - Living sacrificially and bearing reproach for Christ

    - Trusting God's presence and provision rather than worldly comfort

Following Christ may involve suffering and going "outside the camp," but God promises His presence and equips believers to do His will.

    Question for Consideration:

In what specific area of your life is God calling you to "go outside the camp" and bear potential reproach in order to follow Christ more faithfully?

  • >Me, Myself, and I (2 of 3)

This sermon explores Hebrews 12:14-29, focusing on pursuing peace and holiness while living for what is eternal rather than temporary. Key points include:

    • Believers are called to strive for peace with everyone and

pursue holiness, without which no one will see God.

    • We are warned against refusing God's voice and reminded of the consequences throughout history for those who did not heed warnings.

    • God promises to shake both heaven and earth, removing what is temporary so that only the unshakable remains.

    • Christians have received an unshakable kingdom and are

called to worship God with reverence and awe, recognizing Him as a consuming fire.

    • The passage contrasts Mount Sinai (representing the old

covenant) with Mount Zion (the new covenant in Christ).

    • Believers should anchor their hope and priorities in God's

eternal kingdom rather than temporary things.

    Question for Consideration:

How might focusing on the eternal nature of God's kingdom

change the way you approach challenges or make decisions in your daily life?

  • >Me, Myself, and I (1 of 3)

This sermon explores God's discipline in believers' lives, drawing from Hebrews 12:1-13. In exploring the passage we find three key truths: God's discipline keeps us from sin, maintains fellowship, and fosters peace. Though painful in the moment, discipline ultimately yields righteousness and peace. The message encourages embracing God's loving discipline, whether it comes as consequences for sin, instructional correction, or trials.

    Question for Consideration:

How might viewing our trials as God's loving discipline change our response to life's challenges and help us grow in faith and character?
