Vince Clarke chats with John von Ahlen in a repeat of our show from 2015.

Join us as we celebrate Show #200!! on Neon Nights with our “Erasure / Vince Clarke Interview” – presented by John von Ahlen / Parralox & Costa Lakoumentas.

Formed 30 years ago, the award-winning song writing duo of Vince Clarke and Andy Bell unleashed on the nation a succession of both influential and chart-topping pop anthems of the ’80s, ’90s through to today. Songs like ‘A Little Respect’, ‘Sometimes’, ‘Victim Of Love’, ‘Ship Of Fools’, ‘Blue Savannah’, ‘Star’, ‘Chains Of Love’, ‘The Circus’, ‘Who Needs Love (Like That)’, ‘Love To Hate You’, ‘Drama!’, ‘Always’ and ‘Breathe’, ensured a formidable presence on the singles charts complemented by five consecutive No 1 albums

(including The Innocents, Wild! and Chorus) and the beginning of the worldwide Abba revival, ‘Abba-esque’.

John chats with Vince Clarke about the Best Of Album “Always”, what it was like working on the SSSS album (how DO you pronounce it? Tune in and all will be revealed), his thoughts on techno, being an electronic pioneer and in a not-to-be-missed segment Vince chats about what he would be doing if he wasn’t a musician

Special thanks to Mute Records / Leo Stubbing for coordinating the interview, and of course Vince Clarke for taking the time to chat with me.

Electronically Yours, John.

Crystal Waters chats with John von Ahlen / Parralox on Neon Nights Show # 199 – “Crystal Waters Interview”, co hosted by  Costa Lakoumentas.

American singer/songwriter Crystal Waters was named by Billboard Magazine as “one of the most successful dance music artists in the history of the Billboard Dance Music Chart.”

She is best known for giant 1991 release ‘Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)’, 1994’s ‘100% Pure Love’ and the #1 European hit ‘Destination Calabria’ with Alex Guradino.
