The comic book miniseries Jurassic World: Rebirth, which serves as a prequel to the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, nearly featured a "full-on dinosaur sex scene."
The comic's writer, Zack Stentz, revealed on social media that he originally scripted a scene where Claire Dearing would have observed two Allosauruses mating. His intention was not for shock value, but to portray the dinosaurs as real animals with natural behaviors, akin to a David Attenborough nature documentary, and to literally illustrate the franchise's theme of "life finds a way."
However, Universal Studios, the rights holder, flatly rejected the idea with an "absolutely not." The scene was subsequently rewritten. In the final version of the comic, Claire instead witnesses a courtship ritual where one Allosaurus brings a goat as a food offering to another, still conveying the intended theme of natural animal behavior in a more family-friendly manner.
