'Ebenezer' Trailer Debuts at SDCC Featuring Johnny Depp as Scrooge

During San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), fans were treated to a brand-new trailer for the upcoming film Ebenezer, offering a much deeper look at Johnny Depp’s highly anticipated return to the big screen. Directed by modern horror auteur Ti West, the film is a dark, gothic reimagining of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol. The SDCC footage highlights Depp's transformative, haggard portrayal of the miserable Ebenezer Scrooge as he is tormented by genuinely terrifying, nightmarish holiday spirits. The trailer proves that West is leaning heavily into the eerie, supernatural dread of the original ghost story, promising audiences a much spookier and visually striking take on the traditional Christmas tale.

Kevin Feige Says Live-Action Miles Morales is Coming to the MCU After 'Spider-Verse'

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has officially confirmed that a live-action version of Miles Morales will be swinging into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but fans will have to wait just a little longer. Feige revealed that the studio is intentionally holding off on introducing the fan-favorite web-slinger until after Sony Animation completes its highly acclaimed animated trilogy with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. This strategic decision allows the animated films to properly conclude Miles' current story on a high note before the character makes his highly anticipated leap into live-action to cross paths with Tom Holland's Peter Parker.

Disney Developing 'Afterlife with Archie' Zombie Series

Following the conclusion of The CW's wild teen drama Riverdale, Archie and the gang are returning to the screen for a much darker, bloodier adventure. The article reveals that Disney is currently developing a new series based on the critically acclaimed, fan-favorite horror comic book run, Afterlife with Archie. The show will plunge the town of Riverdale into a full-blown zombie apocalypse (which, in the original comic lore, is accidentally triggered when Sabrina the Teenage Witch attempts to use necromancy to resurrect Jughead's dog, Hot Dog). The project promises to blend the signature relationship drama and teen angst of Riverdale with legitimate, gruesome survival horror, marking a surprisingly dark and exciting new chapter for the Archie Comics universe under the Disney streaming umbrella.

Steve/Bucky/Sam Reunion in 'Avengers: Doomsday' Trailer Upsets the Internet

A recently released trailer for Avengers: Doomsday featured a highly anticipated reunion between Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes, and Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson, but the moment has sparked massive internet backlash. The article breaks down the fandom's frustration, noting that many viewers feel bringing Steve Rogers out of his peaceful retirement completely undermines the emotional weight and perfect closure of his Avengers: Endgame send-off. Furthermore, fans are arguing that having Steve step back into the spotlight diminishes Sam Wilson's hard-earned journey to claim and establish his own legacy as Captain America.

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Final Trailer Focuses on Peter Parker

Sony and Marvel have dropped the final, emotional trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While previous teasers highlighted massive MCU cameos (like the Hulk and The Punisher) and street-level action, this final look strips away the spectacle to focus intimately on Tom Holland's Peter Parker. The footage highlights the heartbreaking, solitary reality of a hero whom no one remembers. Struggling to make rent, dealing with a grueling job at the Daily Bugle, and fighting crime entirely alone in a hostile city, the trailer sets the stage for the most grounded, character-driven Spider-Man film yet.
