In this episode, recent DC convert Melissa FINALLY watches films involved in the DCEU/Zack Snyder Universe. Particularly Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (theatrical cut), Suicide Squad and Justice League. With the films new to her, Jarrad grants her the task of comparing them to the rival MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).  The main topic of comparison is which universe is more successful in depicting how the public would accept/reject heroes.  Who will she pick?

Yes you read correctly; in what could be the most controversial episode so far, Melissa and Jarrad defend the 2019 Hellboy reboot starring David Harbour and Milla Jovovich.  The subject segues into why nerds (your humble Ambassadors included) should try to be more open minded with the seemingly endless amount of content we get nowadays whether it be casting, connectivity to original content, reboots/remakes, etc.  Apart from the new Hellboy film, other films such as the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot and the 2019 Child's Play remake also get defended.  If you stay past the title, enjoy!

In this episode, Melissa tells us how Jarrad opened her eyes to a whole new universe; the DC Universe.  After years of sticking to a strict Marvel diet, Jarrad gives Melissa a heaping spoonful of the tasty treats that are Batman, The Flash, Superman, The Joker and many more.  They talk some of Melissa's favorite and not so favorite stories  she's read so far, (mainly their shared love for the seminal classic graphic novel The Killing Joke) as well as her favorite writers, artists, characters, etc. Melissa is even put in the hout seat when she has to choose which "similar/knockoff" character she likes more between the Big 2.

We all have blind spots in our nerdom; one of Jarrad's is Dr. Who.  In this episode your  Ambassado(u)r Melissa gives Jarrad a crash course on the hit Brit show that's been going strong for 50+ years.  Jarrad also blows Melissa's mind with a brief history lesson of the infamous Max Headroom pirated broadcast that took place during a Dr. Who episode back in the 80's.
