It's actually pretty simple to define the parameters of any relationship if you just use expectations and boundaries. Since psychics aren't real, you gotta use your words and tell a person what you'd like from them and the stuff you won't stand for. They listen, they add their own criteria, and suddenly you're both on the same page.

And if a party has an issue, the beautiful thing about romantic/sexual relationships is that they can be broken off whenever you want for any reason. If you can't live up to those expectations - if you have an issue with any boundary - you can peace out.

But being alone is very very scary. Some people only decide to peace out when they have another body to cling to so they'll build up another relationship before properly leaving the first. Often, deceit is involved.
