Follow-ups/CorrectionsSkydance X Paramount - Skydance Media, founded by David Ellison in 2006, is in discussions to merge with Paramount Pictures' parent company, National Amusements, in a deal that would see Skydance pay $1.75 billion to acquire National Amusements. This potential merger builds on the long history of collaboration between Skydance and Paramount, which includes a five-year co-financing and distribution agreement that started in 2009 and was renewed twice before ending in 2021. Skydance has been expanding its reach in recent years, launching Skydance Television in 2013 and Skydance Animation in 2017, and has also signed a multi-year feature film deal with Apple TV+ and secured a $1 billion credit facility for investments. If the merger is successful, it would create a new entity, "New Paramount," with David Ellison at the helm, marking a significant shift in the entertainment industry landscape.https://cosmicbook.news/skydance-media-paramount Apex Legends - In Apex Legends Season 22, major changes to the battle pass system have sparked backlash from players.
