Netflix Casts Live-Action "Scooby-Doo" Series

Netflix has officially announced the core cast for its upcoming, darker live-action Scooby-Doo origin series[16][17]. Stepping into the shoes of the iconic Mystery Inc. gang are Mckenna Grace as Daphne Blake, Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma Dinkley, and Tanner Hagen as Shaggy Rogers[16][18]. Paul Walter Hauser has also joined the cast as a series regular[16]. Moving away from the campy "monster-of-the-week" format, the show will follow the teens during their final summer at camp as they unite over a supernatural murder involving a lost Great Dane puppy
