'Ozark' season 4 part 1 follows Jason Bateman (Marty Byrde) as he tries to get out from under his debt to the drug cartel and Laura Linnie (Wendy Byrde) as she tries to create a legitimate economic and political empire. We argue the season 4 show runners misunderstood what audiences loved about their 'Ozark' characters by filling season 4 up with plot instead of personal stakes.
