The fine economist and civil war era historian Tom DiLorenzo joined The Two Mikes today to discuss issues touching on both areas.

Dr. DiLorenzo has just published a book named The Politically Incorrect Guide to Economics, which has received fifty-five 5-star reviews at Amazon. In talking about his book and the American economy generally, Dr. DiLorenzo said that it now should be obvious to all Americans that the "schemes and plans" of almost all post-Woodrow-Wilson U.S. Governments have been aimed at bringing Americans more and more under its control, just as its foreign policy -- it seems-- is still out to control the world. Quite simply the national government is "unsafe and dangerous ... its main purpose is to take bribes."

On the pertinence of Civil War history to today's problems, Dr. DiLorenzo noted that Lincoln's administration entered the conflict in a situation where all three branches of the national government all participated in constitutional interpretation.

By the end of the war, the Supreme Court had emerged with the sole responsibility for constitutional interpretation, leading to the current situation where we are ruled by that court, and nine people who have never been elected for anything.

Dr. DiLorenzo also noted that the Lincoln administration put the 10th Amendment on the road to meaninglessness, which has led to fewer and fewer powers being lodged in the states and in the people. Today, a person raising the issue of states rights -- meant to guarantee against the tyranny of the national government earns the speaker charges of holding racist and pro-slavery views. Thomas Jefferson, Dr. DiLorenzo said, wanted all Americans -- the governors and the governed -- to be bound by the chains of the Constitution, and especially by the strong protections for liberty found in the 10th Amendment. This episode is a bit long, but we are betting that our audience always finds talks with Dr. Di Lorenzo to be easy and informative experiences.

The internationally renowned China expert Rick Fisher joined The Two Mikes and presented some timely, provocative, and intensely worrying analysis about America's confrontation with Communist China.

Dr. Fisher first explained that China is providing North Korea with enormous 16-wheeled launch trailers on which the North Koreans can mount, move, and launch their new ICBM, which can hit a target anywhere in the United States.

Dr. Fisher added that China, at some point in time, may well supply the same kind of trailers to what has become the Chinese-occupied and nuclear-armed colony of Pakistan.

Dr. Fisher also commented on the balloon story, saying that the Chinese leaders are confident and arrogant and are using the balloons and the other yet-to-be-named, car-size chunks of metal that are somehow floating in U.S. airspace to display the impotence and confusion of Biden, his military lieutenants, and his administration.

Dr. Fisher also explained that the Chinese airships are also a strong sign of the communist regime having almost completed its transition of their military policy from a defensive orientation to an offensive one.

He also explained that Beijing's plans for the Pacific region includes first reacquiring Taiwan, and thereafter to attack the Philippines. Its plans in the United States include the use of the many thousands of Chinese students attending U.S. universities -- the universities love Chinese students because they pay the full tuition price and need no aid -- as intelligence collectors, pro-China demonstrators, and eventually as terrorists and paramilitary operatives.

A U.S.-China war appears increasingly likely, a war which the now gutted U.S. military could not fight without immediate rearmament, stopping the drain of U.S. weapons to Ukraine, returning to conscription to provide a steady flow of cannon-fodder.

Parents, Dr. Fisher suggested, ought to think about this calamitous situation and then take actions meant to convince politicians that Chinese is a near-term threat and that America must respond appropriately. Such actions would help to protect both their children and their republic.

The Two Mikes, today, were most fortunate to receive an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) from Mr. Zach Vorhies, a computer/engineer and entrepreneur who worked for Google.

He quit Google over the manner in which the company operated. Since leaving Google, he has spoken openly about what he saw there and why he left. On this issue of AI, Mr. Vorhees spoke to us about the recent revelations about some media companies using AI to write their articles for them, and how few readers caught onto the ruse. Mr. Vorhies said that AI is growing very quickly and may well soon be a big problem because of the proficiency with which it produces articles -- soon even complete books -- with only a small assist from human beings. The people using AI for these purposes, for example, draw not on a database, but from what more accurately be called a "data lake" consisting of a large number of databases that have been aggregate and arranged for easy and effective access and tasking by anyone who needs an article, a school paper, a statement, a speech, or a book. The rub in this process arises over the question of who is going to feed the data lake.

The aggregating process, if even-handed, would provide a previously unseen -- perhaps close to an unimaginable -- source of information from which people could choose on the basis of their needs, personal views, and openness to data that changes previously held views. On the other hand, if feeding the data lake is left to Big Tech companies -- given what we know about their partisan activities over the last decades -- it will be an inflow of data focused on only those things they want Americans to read, and which, over time will be formative of their worldviews, political ideas, social mores, etc. In addition, if a picking and choosing is allowed to occur about what books, manuscript collections, letter collections, memoirs, videos, movies, newspaper, and magazines -- to name just a few categories of pertinent materials -- the Big Tech companies could not only indoctrinate younger readers, but by depriving all Americans of past writings they will able to erase what Americans have learned about the development of their country and the world over the past millennia, and the details of their own country's founding, history and culture.

On January 10, 2023, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 365 to 65 in favor of a resolution to establish the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, chaired by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI). The following information is worthy of further investigation by that committee.

SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus responsible for the COVID-19 disease and pandemic, possesses a number of unusual structural features, which make a natural origin highly unlikely.

The spike protein, which extends outward from the body of the virus and modulates the binding and fusion of the virus with the human cells, has components that appear to be unique to SARS-CoV-2 and not a consequence of a normal evolutionary process.

Foremost among the unusual genetic features of the virus is a small structure called a furin polybasic cleavage site, which can be considered one of several pieces of “smoking gun” evidence for the laboratory origin of SARS-CoV-2.

Already in 2005, subsequent to the first 2002-2004 SARS pandemic (SARS-CoV-1), furin and other protein cleavage processes were known to increase both the transmissibility and pathogenicity of coronaviruses.

The presence of the furin polybasic cleavage site may enhance the ability for SARS-CoV-2 to infect multiple human organ systems.

The film's timeline is one that covers the period from shortly before the police encountered George Floyd, until the point where Floyd was dead. The movie is very detailed and relates a large number of people, times, and events that were either misreported or never reported on during the trial of the Floyd case.

It is a meticulous and fact-filled rendering of events, and it leaves the viewer with a much different view of what went on that evening. The movie is eye-opening and seems to bring a case of failed justice onto center stage.

Today, The Two Mikes were fortunate to have Todd Callendar to explain very frankly some disturbing -- perhaps harrowing -- attacks that Americans are experiencing --whether they know it or not. Mr. Callender reported that Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, and Mexican President Obrador last week signed a document called "The Declaration of North America'' that dissolves the international borders on the continent and allows undisturbed movement for what are now to be called "migrants" and immigrants. The end of international borders, of course, is one point of the New World Order's (NWO) plan for the world, the other two are the end of private property and a 90-percent reduction in the world's population. Mr. Callender Declaration of North America also requires the three to be ready to military help in the other two countries if NWO actions are resisted. No reaction to Biden's action has been seen in the Congress or the mainstream media. Mr. Callender also noted that America is basically without a Constitution because of the Biden administration's actions. U.S. military personnel -- who pledge allegiance to the Constitution, not ever the nation's leader -- therefore are without a Constitution and they now amount to mercenaries who will soon have to decide what side they are on. Mr. Callendar also reported that MRNA is now being put in all foods that lend themselves to injection. He also noted that MRNA shots contain material that binds to living organs and then turns into a transmitter and receiver which can be used from nefarious outsiders. In essence, the MRNA shot is a controlling hardware installation.
