The Psalmist David finds himself in a situation he likens to being in a hole in the ground, a pit. But then we see him praising God and singing a new song. What happened? What was it that moved David from sighing to singing. The same will move you from the place of darkness and despair you find yourself in to praising the God who gets into the pit with you and brings you out of it!

Part 2 of last week's message, Raised Up. The Resurrection of Christ has far greater impact on a believer than usually known. We are not just saved by what Christ did on the Cross, but we are freed from a lifestyle of sin and darkness. We are placed "in Christ" and ordained to walk in a path the Lord mapped out for us. We are dead to self and alive in Christ.

Raised Up! Christ was resurrected, raised from the dead, raised up! He was raised up because the atonement for sins was made and accepted by God the Father. After Christ's crucifixion and burial, the women made their way to His tomb after the Sabbath, worrying about who would roll away the huge stone at the entrance. The stone separated them from Jesus and was a source of much worry. There are huge "stones" in our lives - sources of worry, burdens and feelings of isolation from God. Jesus Christ makes a triumphant entry into Jerusalem; the King riding on a donkey. Overlooking Jerusalem, Christ begins to wail and weep, saddened because of what the people will endure because they did not know the time of their visitation. Do you know the time of your visitation - the time that God will show up in your life to bring peace and reconciliation with Him and to address that which you face? Are you waiting expectantly for the Lord to show up? Are you conscious of His presence and actively searching for Him? Jesus addressed His mother Mary from the Cross, taking care of her welfare in His last moments. In turn, Mary fixed her gaze on Him. in these last moments, what was going thru the mind and heart of our Lord as He addressed Mary. Click on the play button on the bottom left to listen.

Crucified between 2 thieves, Christ extended mercy and forgiveness to the one who turned toward Him. Why did the King of Heaven regard this man, this reject of society, this criminal, with such tenderness and such mercy? Click on the play button on the bottom left to listen.

While being nailed to the Cross, Jesus Christ cries out "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". What was the reason for this prayer? Why did He focus on pardoning them in the midst of all His pain? Click on the play button in the bottom left to listen.

Jesus spoke about Hell, a lake of fire more times than anyone. He described it as a real place and throughout scripture there are descriptions of it.
