The Bible says "...how can we neglect so great a salvation". Might it be that we neglect such a great gift of salvation from God because we take our salvation lightly? Might it be that we take it lightly because we do not fully grasp what it means? Christ's work at the Cross didn't just save us - it brought reconciliation, redemption, righteousness, and a quickening.

Christ's finished work justified us, made us alive with Christ and in Christ, and made us partakers of a divine nature. Yes, how can we neglect so great a salvation?

At the end of the Lord's prayer, Jesus taught the Disciples to pray "for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory", acknowledging that all we have, all our power and everything of us flows from God.

Unfortunately the enemy offers a counterfeit kingdom, a counterfeit power and a counterfeit glory. And it comes at the price of your soul. Are you part of God's kingdom, power and glory? Or are you still trying to build your own?

After His resurrection and before His ascension to the right hand of God, Jesus said all authority had been given to Him in heaven and on earth. "Exousia" - power and authority delegated to believers who now have the power and authority of Christ. Power to proclaim Christ, power over principalities and powers. 2 Peter 1:3 - "as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness". Have you put the power of Christ to work in your life? Or are you still living powerlessly bowing to every circumstance around you?

The disciples came to a lifeless place, Christ's tomb, to anoint His lifeless body. In that dead place Christ left His angels to tell the disciples He was alive! In the dead places of our lives which we tend to dwell on so often, Christ can bring life if we express a saving faith in Him, turn away from our old life and be raised with Christ in newness of life.

John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and said "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world". Throughout the Old Testament the blood of lambs was shed to atone for sin. Find out what made Christ the perfect sacrifice and why His death was unique. You will ever praise Christ as Lord and Savior when you fully understand the marvelous love He displayed toward you!

Saved by the Blood, that's what we shout! But do we know why blood? Do we understand why it had to be the blood of Christ? Though we could never do justice to this great mystery, learn the meaning of the blood of Christ and gain a new appreciation of what it cost Christ to save your soul!

Believers in Christ are called to run the race. The Lord has set before us a course for our lives and at the Cross He gave us all that is needed to run this race. Run it with persistence. Run it with determination. Run it with tenacity. For there is a great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us that testify of God's power and grace to bring you thru. Run the Race.

Adam and Eve used fig leaves to cover themselves after their sin caused them to lose the glorious covering God had given them. God mercifully provided a covering for them by shedding the blood of innocent animals. Thousands of years later we are doing the same, using the covering of religion, good works and materialism to cover our sin. These are like fig leaves, they will not last and cannot cover our sin. Only the covering supplied by God at the expense of the innocent blood of Christ will wash away our sin.

Christ, the Rock of our Salvation was struck on the Cross to save us from our sin. His atoning death also brings us the privilege of entering into His presence with our deepest needs. Speak to the Rock.

"and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ." 1 Corinthians 10:4.
