There is so much talk and demand for justice these last few years, so we’re going to talk about it. Oh not the type the angry mob screams about. (And we should never allow any angry person or group carry out justice) We’re going to talk about eternal justice, judgment day. Paul in Acts 17 says that “God has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man.” And we know that Man is the God Man Jesus. True justice is coming through Jesus. No one gets away with anything. And if you think about it, if there is no ultimate judgment then there is no ultimate Justice.

Have you ever struggled with the doubt, “Am I really a Christian? Am I really saved?” If you have you are not alone. Plenty of people do because after all, wouldn’t Satan love for us to doubt our salvation. Wouldn’t he want us to walk around in “Salvation insecurity?” Of course he would. When we make the decision to become disciples of Jesus, we've taken the step to become both daring and dangerous to demonic strongholds. And His why is what compelled Him to visit His creation approximately two thousand years ago. When we think of the Christmas story we probably would not think that it has the ingredients for breaking bad habits, but it does. You see, when the Magi arrive in Jerusalem they are looking Him born “King of the Jews.” But this sets off a man named Herod, who proclaims himself the king of the Jews. We know Jesus is the King, but Herod is not letting go of his throne that easily. He will murder to keep his throne. Here is the application, one of the keys to breaking bad habits is surrendering the throne of our lives to the real king: Jesus. When we think of some of the key people God chose to use to bring the Messiah into the world you must begin with Mary and Joseph. Putting ourselves in their shoes, no way was this an easy assignment. Think of the shame and embarrassment they would experience. And yet they took the mission. In this message we will focus on Joseph, because the Christmas story gives us the character qualities needed to be Messiah’s step-father. These qualities existed in Joseph, which gave him the “Right Stuff” for the job. And these qualities are not just relevant to his situation, they are relevant and practical for all of us today!
