Some of us grew in a home where things were OUT OF CONTROL.  And when life is OUT OF CONTROL….guess what: We grow up and become a rigid controller. 

Today we take a look at how we can loosen the grip of control.

Anger is brutal on our soul and on our “US” relationships. 

 THE ANGRY PERSON IS CONSISTENTLY… 

*Irritated with people or situations 

*Impatient with people or situations 

*Pouting  

 

Not that I get angry…I’m always angry and when something tips or triggers me I get “irritable, impatient or pouting.”

Jesus came to LIGHTEN US up: My yoke is EASY and LIGHT.  And why? Because we can be so hard on ourselves.  We can be our own worst critics.  

TRUTH: “If I’m hard on me, I just might be hard on you.” AND that doesn’t help any of our US relationships.

Life can become very heavy on the inside: our mind and soul and we look for rest/peace on our inside.  Jesus says: Learn from Me so that you can “find rest for your SOULS.” The soul is the “seat of your feelings, desires, and affections.” Jesus wants a lightness to your soul. Meaning, We need to  “Address the Mess.”

We are quick to fix and heal up physical pains and breaks…but when it comes to emotional breaks from our past we tend to think it will just get better on its own. It doesn’t.
