This week Bo Noonan continues our Better Than Normal series as he looks at an amazingly diverse and generous church in the city of Antioch, as seen in Acts chapter 11. As we deal with pandemics, unrest, and even wildfires, we don't just need to go back to normal, we need Better than Normal.

Alastair Moyer teaches part 14 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. Acts 12 shows us a way forward as we live life and things that are precious to us are taken away. James, one of the main leaders of the church is killed and Peter, the one that many look to for answers, is in prison. How will the church respond in these difficult circumstances? They look to the One who is better than normal: God the Father.

Andy Cooley teaches part 13 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. Acts 10 is a turning point in history that has enormous significance. In this story, we see the definitive statement from God that racism has no place in his family and we learn how anyone who is not Jewish gained the opportunity to be welcomed into the family of God.

Jake Chambers from Local Church in Gig Harbor teaches part 12 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. Acts 9 tells the life-changing story of Saul. Everything in his life changes when he meets Jesus. His life goes from normal to better than normal.

Bo Noonan teaches part 11 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. In the second part of Acts 8, we see Philip leave a burgeoning mega-church in order to go to the desert to share the good news of Jesus with one man. Why would he do that? God's heart and vision are much larger than we sometimes know. God's plan was to use Philip's encounter with the man in the desert, an Ethiopian eunuch, to take the gospel into Africa and to show this man dignity and grace.

Alastair Moyer teaches part 10 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. In Acts 8 we see the story of Phillip and Simon the Sorcerer. Simon's life miraculously moves from his cultural version of normal to better than normal as he learns about the amazing gift of the Holy Spirit. We don't want to settle for our culture's version of normal; like Simon, we need better than normal.

Bo Noonan teaches part 9 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. Acts 6 and 7 tell the story of Stephen, the first martyr in the early church. The moments leading up to his death show us a bridge between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant and teach us much about the amazing grace and mission of Jesus.

Bo Noonan teaches part 8 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. Acts 6:1-7 show us a crucial moment in the early church that would either lead to division or unity. The way the apostles led the church through this moment teach us much about God's heart for diversity, leadership, and every follower of Jesus' calling to minister to others, especially those in need.

Bo Noonan teaches part 7 of Better than Normal, our series through the book of Acts. He focuses on the way the church dealt with governmental and religious freedoms in Acts 5, and focuses on their motivation based on love rather than rebellion.
