After returning from his missionary trip, Paul reported his work to the church in Jerusalem. However, rumors were spreading that Paul had been teaching against the Jewish people, the Law, and the temple. A mob formed when they falsely thought that Paul had brought a Gentile into the Temple. Chaos and violence ensued and Roman officials became involved. We see how traditions matter and don't matter at the same time. We examine practical implications of traditions in the contemporary Christian life.

We examine the role of mankind in creation, the role of Israel in declaring God's glory, the fulfillment of these roles in Christ, and the role of the church empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We examine the two main models of discipleship and their historical backgrounds. The Keswick and Reformational models are compared and constrasted.

Peter concludes his letter by personally mentioning other Christians who are not only his ministry partners, but also his dearly beloved brothers and sisters. The fellowship among these believers internationally - especially amidst their suffering - is precious. We should strive to imitate such sweet fellowship in our own churches and lives. Peter also summarizes his entire letter as -the true grace of God - stand firm in it-. Consequently, we briefly look back through the entire letter of 1 Peter and see how the principles concerning Christian identity - Christian living serve as both the grace of God - a firm foundation to stand upon.

In this travel log documented by Luke, we see events happening that are ordinary and extraordinary to Christianity. Extraordinary events include the Holy Spirit's revelation of Paul's future to the Apostle, arrest in Jerusalem, martyrdom in Rome, having daughters who prophecy, and receiving prophecy from Agabus. At the same time we also see principles and events that are ordinary to Christianity, such as team Christianity, unified Christianity, loving Christianity, active Christianity, hospital Christianity, and faithful Christianity.

Our Savior was divinely intentional in crossing Samaria to get to Galilee- He had to talk to the Samaritan woman. Despite His weariness, He relentlessly pursued this lost soul and was not too proud to love her. He offered her the greatest treasure- Himself. We see Jesus' love for the outcast. He looks at them and makes them a trophy of His grace.

In response to Daniel's prayer for the restoration of the Jews - Jerusalem, the angels begin to explain to him what will happen to God's people in the future. They explain what will happen during the next several hundred years of ancient Near East history. After the content of the prophecy is examined - we see how it was completely fulfilled in history, we look at twelve applications from the passage revolving around God's Word, God's sovereignty, and our life on earth.

We examine five communicable attributes of God. The spirituality and invisibility of God are related to God's being. The knowledge, wisdom, and truthfulness of God are mental attributes.

Paul, knowing that he would never see the church in Ephesus again, sent for the elders and gave them a message of testimony and instruction. In particular, he warned them of the dangers of false teachers. The greatest threat to the church would come from within, and the elders were to stay on the alert. Paul then parted the elders in a tearful farewell.
