Pastor Scott Greer kicks off our Uncluttered sermon series by sharing some ways that we can be a blessing this Christmas season. As we look to unclutter our hearts and lives, we can ask God for clarity, purpose and joy to celebrate His arrival. If we want this Christmas to be uncluttered, the 'stuff' around us has to take second place to the true King. When we give and when we worship, our gifts go way beyond that moment. They make a difference for eternity. May we remember what we have and continue to receive in Christ.

Brad Ratliff, our Youth Minister, shares the sermon message of how thankful people are humble people. Jesus demonstrated the greatest act of humbleness when he came from Heaven to save us. Being humble is not thinking less of oneself, but thinking of one's self less often. When we realize how much God has given us in spite of us, our natural response should be to humble ourselves and serve those around us. Luke 14:1-12

Pastor Scott Greer shares some foundational and effective ways that we can be thankful and practice thankfulness daily. We are called to live our thankfulness out loud. Because of Jesus, we have grace. Because of Jesus, we have forgiveness. Because of Jesus, we can have a new life. For this, we can be thankful. 

Pastor Scott Greer wraps up our Transformed series by recapping how we can honor God by being a healthy Christian. God calls us to be healthy spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, financially, and vocationally. Transformation is a battle, so let's continue to put on the full armor of God. May we continue to live out Romans 12:2 with God's strength: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will."

Brad Ratliff, our Youth Minister, shares the message on how we can be transformed by serving. God calls us to serve. People that love Jesus have to serve. We live in a society and a world that is hurting and aching. Our human nature is selfish, so we have to draw near to God and make a conscious effort to serve and teach servanthood. We have a great opportunity to be servants in our home, in our communities, and in our world.

A few practical, simple ways we can serve is by bringing in items for the kids of Bent Tree Apartments. We are challenging our Elementary and Early Childhood kids to bring socks. Some other items that we are collecting in the main lobby on November 13 are pencils and paper, glue sticks and construction paper, composition books, chap stick, and deodorant. Another way we can serve is by praying for the children of Bent Tree and for the leaders and volunteers at Bent Tree.

Pastor Scott Greer shares the #transformed message on Vocational Health and steps we can take be more healthy in our life and career. God gives us the strength to face "giants" in our life. These "giants" are a lot smaller than we make them out to be when we find the strength and courage to face them with God's help.
