We all have to ask ourselves the same question: "What truth am I following?" This is a question that may sound simple, but has amazingly broad implications. Is our truth what we think and feel, or is there a greater authority?

Pastor Scott Greer kicks off "Fear Not: The Book of Ruth", with 'The Friend' from Ruth 1. "Pain and suffering doesn't leave us the same. The truth is pain and suffering is going to drive us further away from God or it's going to drive us closer to God, but it will not leave us the same. There is depth that takes place...God can be trusted" Fear not: God is in control. Fear not: God is at work. We need to trust God, and we all need a friend.

The Architect, God, wants nothing less for us than to live a new kind of life. May we make the most of every opportunity to live like Christ in our purity, in our thanksgiving, in our love.

Sometimes we battle the old person we used to be: the sinful nature. Paul, in Ephesians, is telling us that we are to live with righteousness and holiness. If we are going to build a sound house, it's not just cosmetic or slapping a coat of paint over a bad wall. Sometimes we have to gut the wall, start over and live it out with the truth that is in Jesus.
