The heart and vision of New Hope Hilo is to reach people far from God. We are getting ready for our Easter Service and our heart is to partner with our congregation in their attempts to reach their family and friends. We’re going to learn how we do that.

Mediocre is defined as, of only moderate quality; not very good. It’s tragic when we feel we’re not very good because of what others say. It’s even more tragic when we choose to be mediocre. We’re going to learn how God designed us to Rise Up as His people to excel, not to settle for mediocrity.

We all get angry. It only becomes an issue when we have uncontrolled anger. There is a way for us to control our anger. God has a better way for us to live than to allow anger to control us. We’re going to learn how uncontrolled anger takes life away and how God’s intention is to give us life.

The term “American Dream” is used in a number of ways, but essentially the American Dream is an idea that suggests all people can succeed through hard work, and that all people have the potential to live happy, successful lives. Although this is a great idea, there must be more to life than being happy and successful. Jesus prayed a prayer that seemed like a dream of His, and that was for us to be one with Him and the Father. We’re going to dissect the prayer of Jesus found in John 17 and how His prayer affects us.

Everyone has some form of faith. Everyone wants hope. Very few understand what love is all about. Yet out of the three, the greatest of these if love. When we understand God’s love, it allows us to live life on a different level. We’re going to learn how important it is for us to put our faith, hope and love in the Lord.
