Every person matters to God. We’re going to learn that no one is too far from God for Him to find them. The missing piece in God’s kingdom are people who are far from Him. We’re going to learn how as the church, our design is to partner with God in His hearts desire…TO REACH THE LOST.

God has designed us in such a way that when He moves, He wants us to partner with Him. He’s given us a body, mind, spirit and strength so that when we partner with Him, it’s a success. We’re going to learn that the resources God gives to me is to be used for His purpose, not my own.

Decisions are tough to make…but only when they are so closely related. We’re going to learn how to make decisions based on the comparison of God honoring choices and man’s choice. We’re going to learn that choices become easier when they are not so close in value. Decisions are tough to make…but only when they are so closely related. An apology can be defined as “humbly making things right with another.” An apology is more than just words, it is an action. There is power in an apology. We’re going to learn how to be people who understand the power of an apology and use it in such a way so that it’s more than just words…it becomes an action.

It doesn’t matter if you offend someone, or if someone offends you, both sides of an offense are detrimental to person’s life. What’s worse is when I take on an offense from others who have problems between themselves. When there is a sting of an offense, the blessings cease. We’re going to learn how to be people who learn not to take on an offense as well as what to do when I’ve offended someone else

Bitterness feels good to some people. It allows them to justify their behavior and gives them an excuse to treat others how they want. The problem with bitterness is that it poisons the person who is bitter, more than anyone else. We’re going to learn how to uproot bitterness, and what happens when we don’t.

Anger in itself is not wrong, it’s what I do with that anger and if it controls me that makes it a concern. God got angry at sin, Jesus got angry at the Money Exchangers, but they were able to control their anger. As human beings, we justify our anger by blaming others. We’re going to learn how to resolve anger God’s way and why it’s so important to do so.

God is our ultimate Father. He is the perfect example of what a true father is. As father’s, we all try our best to be the greatest, the problem with that is we are fallible human beings, who make mistakes. In order for us to be great dads, we need God. We’re going to learn why dads are the greatest and how to model after God Himself to be a dad after God’s own heart.

A strong family is a good thing…but once I’m married, I now have a new family. The family that I grew up with will always be my family, but “for this reason a man leave’s his father and mother and is united with his wife.” We’re going to learn how we can keep our family strong when there are difficulties letting go of a father and mother, or when our spouse has a difficult time letting them go, so that we can become our own family.

We all hope to have that dream family where everyone is on the same page and nothing “bad” happens. The problem is we live in an imperfect world, dealing with imperfect family members. What do we do when there’s a separation, divorce, death, illness or something that seems to tear the family apart? I always believe that “If you’re ever going to draw a line in your family, make sure you’re all on the same side.” We’re going to learn from God’s word how to navigate through these difficult times.
