Sometimes we think that God only hears “holy” people. We’re going to learn how to pray in such a way that will assure us that God hears our prayers.

We spend so much time on the computer, on our smart phones, watching TV and various other activities, that by the time it comes to our spiritual life, we just don’t have enough time, and because of a lack of spiritual nourishment, we collapse when life weighs on us. We’re going to learn why it’s important and how to feed our spirit through His Word.

There are many things that we “wish” to do; finish a project, lose weight, save money, be healthier… the list goes on and on. All those things are great, but what about the spiritual matters. We’re going to learn how Jesus gives us the option of having a new life, not because we’re such terrible people, but because He sees who we can be for the better.

Although these things change as a result of human choice, there is one area that changes, with or without my choice, and that’s my life. As we mature in life, we will either live for this world, or for The Kingdom. The difference between these two kingdoms is that the kingdom of this world is a kingdom of darkness and The Kingdom of God is a kingdom of light. When we live in the kingdom of darkness, we cannot see what the problems are in our lives. We cannot see that we are sinking. Only Jesus is able to SAVE us from drowning in this darkened world. He wants to save us before the light is snuffed out for all of eternity. We’re going to learn why we call Him the savior.
