For over a century, Christianity has been at the heart of the N Ireland education system. Today, the link between faith and education is increasingly in the spotlight, with certain voices questioning its relevance and purpose. In this seminar, Andy Brown explores the challenges posed by an increasingly secular society to the vital role that Christians and Christianity play within our schools. His friend and colleague, Diane McClelland, considers the opportunities available to Christians from her perspective and experience as a parent, governor, teacher and teacher-educator. Together, Andy and Diane explore the role that Christians can play going forward, considering how they can be strategic, prayerful and practical in partnership with their local schools.
