Nearly 33 million dollars is being invested in the future of the nation's Sugarcane industry. 

A new series of projects run by Sugar Research Australia and the Queensland state government aims to improve the efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability of the sector. 

Rural Reporter Alexander Nimmo spoke with S-R-A Chief Executive Mick Bartlett about the investment.
