Today on New Mexico Rising, we are going to be speaking with Ronnie Lucero.

Although he voted for Obama in 2008, Mr. Lucero began to second guess his support for the former President, after observing what he believed to be the vilification of Americans who didn’t support progressive ideas on race, gender, and same-sex marriage.

Mr. Lucero now serves as Chairman of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of New Mexico, as well as the New Mexico Ambassador for LEXIT.

We will be speaking with Mr. Lucero about the numerous issues currently facing New Mexicans and what he thinks needs to be done in order to see New Mexico rise.

Today on New Mexico Rising we are going to be having a conversation with Rebecca Dow.

As state representative for the 38th district, Dow has shown herself to be a political force to be reckoned with, by maintaining classical Republican stances issues such as marijuana legalization, abortion, and mandatory paid sick leave for employees. She currently serves as the Republican House Caucus Chair.

In early July, she announced her campaign to become the next Governor of New Mexico, and many within the Republican Party consider her to be the front runner.

We will be speaking with her about pressing matters in the state and her thoughts on the legislative landscape going into 2022, as well as what she plans to do should she become the next governor of New Mexico.

was born in Cincinnati to what he has described as a Republican, small businessman father, and Catholic socialist mother. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a degree in political science and later received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland.

He went on to put his education to work as part of the grass-roots lobbyist organization the National Taxpayers Union in Washington, D.C.

In 2006, he was presented with the opportunity to become President of the Rio Grande Foundation where he has solidified his role as a voice of limited government and individual liberties, across a broad spectrum of policies.

He has published articles in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, US News & World Reports, The Albuquerque Journal and several other major publications, and today he will be sitting down with us to discuss the future of New Mexico given the current political, economic, and social climate.
