As the New Mexico tourism industry begins the arduous struggle to crawl back from the damage done by COVID-19 restrictions, the decision to spend $1.5 million dollars to put a Zia symbol on Sunday’s Virgin Galactic space launch is being lauded by some as a step in the right direction.
With funding of education continuing to be a crisis in the state, and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham planning to further subsidize childcare, some suggest that increasing regulations on the oil and gas industry will only further stifle our ability to provide schools with what is needed, while others say not nearly enough is being done to hold “methane polluters” accountable.
