#057 Let’s talk about the importance of listening to the human needs in BPM.
In this episode, I'm talking to Leona Holzbecher again. After the last episode with her where we talked about different generations in BPM and the New Process Conference where she was one of the speakers, it was clear to me that I had to invite her back for the New Process Podcast.
As a psychologist, Leona knows best about the human-centric approach and how a deeper understanding of our emotional responses to processes can help us manage them better.
We look at the 4 basic human needs that we need to trigger.
But how can we use this to get people excited about process? Let us find out...
Today’s Guests:
Leona Holzbecher
Leona is a psychologist and systemic coach. She started her own business "Leona Holzbecher Consulting" to coach companies and people to rethink their why from a psychological perspective in 2024.
She has a lot of experience in change management in a large corporation. Leona holds a Master's degree in Psychology and has completed trainings in System Intervention and Organizational Development and Transformation.
You may know her from the other episode about different generations (EP48) and from the New Process Conference where she talked about the psychological aspect in the context of BPM.

#056 Let's talk about interactive management systems and why it should be given more attention.
In this episode I'm talking to Carsten Behrens about interactive management systems and why they can be a real game changer for employee engagement instead of centralized BPM systems.
We also delve into the world of Q.Wiki and what has happened since the last podcast interview in 2022. The tool has grown and there are some interesting new features - related to AI, of course - so tune in to hear more about that.
Today’s Guests:
Dr. Carsten Behrens
Carsten is CEO of Modell Aachen. Modell Aachen is the maker of the BPM tool Q.Wiki which I already took a closer look at in episode 19. Carsten co-founded Modell Aachen in 2009 and today, they serve more than 1,400 customers worldwide.
Carsten holds a Diploma in mechanical engineering from Ruhr University Bochum and a PhD from RWTH Aachen University.
Besides leading Modell Aachen, he also supports the German Association for Quality in various roles.
Carsten lives in Wuppertal together with his wife and two kids.

#055 Just two BPM nerds talking about nerdy BPM stuff
In this episode, I'm talking to Martin Holling again. We discuss about current BPM topics such as the implementation of AI, what's happened at KEMNA BAU since our last conversation over a year ago, which tools have made which improvements, which human-centric methods we've come across recently, and so on.
Today’s Guests:
Martin Holling
Martin is one of the New Process Podcast listeners who have listened to every single episode and he is a real BPM enthusiast. He has been working for Siemens in various Process Management positions in Siemens’ Energy sector for nearly 20 years. During that time, he developed and implemented a BPM framework that covered a lot of the New Process Principles.
After leaving Siemens, he worked as a Senior BPM Consultant for four years. Today, he is Head of Process Management at KEMNA BAU, one of the largest road construction companies and street infrastructure providers in Germany.
In parallel, he is offering his experience as a self-employed management consultant at living-processes.de.
As much as time besides work and his family – he is married and has 3 daughters – allows, he is singing in a local choir and restoring a classic car together with his brother.
