  • How Gluu supports you to rethink processes with Søren Pommer from Gluu

#027: Søren and I are talking about the BPM tool “Gluu” and how it helps with its clear design to inspire employees for processes.

In this episode, I’m talking to Søren Pommer, CEO and Founder of “Gluu”. Gluu is already an established platform by helping more than one-hundred businesses and thousands of users in almost 60 countries. I wanted to have a closer look at it to find out, if Gluu is a human-centric BPM tool. Let’s explore this together…

    Today's Guest

Before founding Gluu he was founder, partner, and board member of a number of digital agencies, and he also worked as Director and Manager for Philips International in the Netherlands.

He started by visualizing processes with PowerPoint, which of course had its limitations, still had the advantages of clarity for everyone. This motivated him to develop a model with which everyone can work easily - to help more than to confuse. This is how Gluu was born in 2011. It’s still sticking to a really clear and modern design and focusses on a permanent feedback process.

    • How to model processes in Gluu
    • How employees retrieve their processes in Gluu
    • How Gluu supports you to involve the people in the process into the work on the process
    • How Gluu supports you to trust the people working in and on the process
    • What developments of the BPM tool market Søren sees
    • What Gluu has on its development roadmap
    • What Gluu costs and how you can test it

  • How BIC supports you to rethink processes with Marc Stromberg from GBTEC

#025: In this episode, I'm speaking with Marc Stromberg from GBTEC to have an in-depth look into his product: Business Information Center, or BIC for short.

I have known Marc for many years and in my search for a human-centric tool, BIC is of course a must. Marc gives deep insights into the tool and provides a highly detailed and candid account of his own practical experiences with process management. In addition, he gives actionable advice and shares resources that you may find useful in you own future endeavors.

    Today's Guest

    Marc Stromberg

Marc is Co-Founder of GBTEC and since then, he is Head of Sales for the BPM Products of GBTEC.

Before that he worked as a BPM Consultant for IDS Scheer and SECO Consult.

He told me, that he is the only one in his family who is in the software industry. His whole family in the restaurant business and so he has always been somewhat of a “black sheep”. But in the meantime, they recognized that BPM is not such a bad industry to work in.

GBTEC was founded in 2004 in the city of Bochum, Germany. It is widely known for its BIC Platform which is a software suite with modules for Process Modeling, Process Execution, and Process Mining as well as Governance, Risk, and Compliance modules for Risk Management, Information Security, Audit Management and more.

GBTEC is also producer of the Process Pioneers Podcast hosted by Marc’s colleague Daniel Rayner where I had the honor of sharing New Process ideas in the beginning of the New Process journey. Probably the BPM podcast with the widest reach and definitely worth listening to.

    You'll learn

    • What the underlying philosophy of BIC is
    • How to model processes in BIC
    • How employees retrieve their processes in BIC
    • How BIC supports you to involve the people in the process into the work on the process?

A role which uses content creation methods and tools such as videos, podcasts, and posts on corporate or even social media to inspire the people of an organization for processes.

    Today's Guest

    Astrid Kirchhoff

Astrid is a Narrative Facilitator at Hummingbird’s . • How EPC supports you to rethink processes with Scott Armstrong from Interfacing

#022: In this episode, I'm speaking with Scott Armstrong from Interfacing about EPC. EPC stands for Enterprise Process Center and is Interfacing's integrated management system. Scott provides deep insights into the tool and how EPC helps rethink processes. Exciting are also his predictions for the BPM tool market and what of it is already on the roadmap for EPC.

    Today's Guest

    Scott Armstrong

Scott is an entrepreneur, innovator, keynote speaker, and soon to be father. He is managing partner of Interfacing and its global subsidiaries and he is partner of Dempton Solutions, which is an IT consulting firm.

As I learned, he's an avid skier. He used to compete in mogul competitions. He has an appetite for risk in business and life: He lives by the motto, work harder, play harder. 🚀

Interfacing as a pioneer in processes. It launched one of the first business process re-engineering modeling and simulation engines back in 1994 and then also one of the first web-based central repository solutions in 2000 as part of the Michael Hemmer BPM movement.

Interfacing was acquired by Scott and his partners seven years ago and has grown to become one of the leading global digital twin solutions. Interfacing offers a full BPM suite from modeling, analysis, simulation to automation. And what makes interfacing really interesting for me as an airline guy is their solution's capabilities to cover all compliance requirements of highly regulated industries like airlines, MRO, pharma, MedTech, and so on. They are very specialized also in the coverage of all QMS, GRC, BPM, and EA requirements.

    You'll learn

    • What the underlying philosophy of EPC is
    • How to model processes in EPC
    • How employees retrieve their processes in EPC
    • How EPC fosters the development of people
    • How EPC supports you to design cooperation on and in the process to people's needs
    • What developments of the BPM tool market Scott sees
    • What EPC has on its development roadmap
