Tonight we discuss the death of Jesus on the cross for our sins.

John gives us a unique look at Jesus' interaction with His disciples after the last supper when Jesus washed their feet and explained to them that they were not greater than He was, so He has served as an example of how they, and we, should serve others.

For Palm Sunday we looked at the Triumphal Entry of Christ into Jerusalem, as He presented Himself as King to the Jewish people.

Tonight we will see the deception of the Gibeonites in making a covenant with Israel and how the leaders of Israel failed to seek God and made a covenant with them that they should not have made. In this light we talk about godly relationships and seeking God in every decision. Additionally, we will see the Sun stand still as Joshua and Israel defeat a conglomeration of kings who come against them.

In this message one of our elders John explores 2 Thessalonians 2 and warns us about false prophets, the lies of the devil, the coming rapture and the need for us to be on guard against the schemes of the enemy while being prepared for Jesus' return.

Tonight we study the defeat of Jericho by God's power and miraculous hand. Then we see the first defeat of Ai because of the sin in Israel, once that is dealt with God gives victory to Israel over Ai and pronounces the blessing and cursing related to the law from Mt. Ebal and Mt. Gerizim as commanded in Deuteronomy.

Where do wars and fights come from among us- James explains it is often by the pursuit of our own selfish desires. The solution is humble submission to God. We will explore all of this and more in this message.

In our continuing journey through the Bible we are now in Joshua and in this message we see Israel crossing over the Jordan as God miraculously stops the flow of the river as well as the celebration of passover and a few other important aspects of this portion of Joshua.

In chapter 1 of James we were told to ask for wisdom when we need it and God would give it to us liberally and without reproach when we ask without doubting. Today James tells us what that godly wisdom looks like.

In this message we begin the book of Joshua with an introduction to the book and a look at Joshua taking over the leadership of Israel, God's encouragement to Joshua to be strong and of good courage. We also see the spies going to Jericho and Rahab protecting them.
