In this message we talk about the fact that those who are called to teach the Word of God will receive a stricter judgment for their teaching and life. Then we dive into the untamed tongue and the importance of our speech to others and about others.

As we finish the book of Deuteronomy and the Pentateuch we are studying the song of Moses, Moses farewell blessings over the tribes of Israel and the record of Moses' death.

In this message we explore the passage of James where we are told that faith without works is dead. We will talk about what that means to us and what we should be doing with our faith-

Moses is nearing the end of His life and is giving the final instructions he will give to the nation of Israel. Tonight we explored the importance of the Spirit's illumination of the truth, the need to be obedient to God, the foolishness of thinking that sin has no consequences and more.

Everyone has favorite people in their lives. But showing favoritism is not what God wants us to do. He wants us to live lives that reflect our faith in Christ. That is what we will be talking about today.

As we move through Deuteronomy we focus on having our whole lives as an act of worship to God. Then we explore curses and blessings based on our obedience to God.

Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and, slow to wrath. Be doers of the Word and not hearers only. So much good and practical teaching in this section of James 1. We continue to look at how we are to grow in our spiritual maturity and live out our faith in Christ.

Tonight as we continue to explore the entire Bible we are in Deuteronomy and talking about various laws that the Lord was giving to the nation of Israel. We focus on purity and marriage.

In this message we talk about the importance of glorying in our trials as God is purifying us and how we endure temptation, noting that God does not tempt us but has given us everything we need to be whole in Christ.

This week we review a multitude of laws in the second law giving of Deuteronomy like the cities of refuge, fairness in judgement, laws concerning war, sexual morality, unsolved murders, female slaves, and loving our neighbors.
