New Tribe Church

Jesus said, “among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist, yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Too often, we give the highest playback to our lowest performance, but grace reminds us we are doing better than we think. Comparison starves joy and feeds insecurity, but Jesus compares our least to His greatest and still calls us greater. By faith we are made alive with Christ, raised up, and seated with Him in heavenly places. Even when we fumble, God deletes the video and reminds us — “you are Greater Than.”

In this message, "It’s Worth It", we see how Jesus’ words in Matthew 9:35–38 call His disciples into the harvest. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Just like in a job where the hardest tasks often lead to the greatest return, the work of the kingdom can be messy and difficult, but the return is always worth it. Jesus shows us that the reason workers are few often comes down to a kind of “spiritual fog.” That fog is cleared through forgiveness, obedience, and grieving. Forgiveness must be complete, obedience removes excuses, and grieving heals unprocessed loss. The truth is, serving in the kingdom can bring challenges, but the return on labor is greater than the work. It’s worth it.

To live a radical life in Christ is to be rooted deeper than traditions, preferences, or surface experiences. When storms come, roots in Him make us unshakable, immovable, and unbreakable. That’s why we make the church we go to the church we belong to, the church we serve, and the church we give through. We plant ourselves where God is moving and invest our heart, hands, and resources in His Kingdom. Our giving reflects our heart for His people, and heaven rejoices over every soul that turns to Jesus. Being rooted is about being built up in Him and established in the faith. This is the radical life—to love, serve, and live like never before.

Pastor Mike Cole kicks off our new series Radical Life: Love, Serve, and Live Like Never Before by unpacking the journey of Moses—a man who doesn’t feel ready, but God calls anyway. Step by step, God equips him through signs, support, and trust-building moments. The message is clear: you don’t need to have it all figured out to say yes to God. From Moses to today, living a radical life means trusting that God is on the move and following Him—even when the path doesn’t make sense. Radical faith begins with obedience. Just say yes.

Guest speaker Garrett Prechtl shares a powerful message about Jesus as our Healer. Healing can happen through miracles, medicine, or even unexpected methods—but it always happens in His hands. Don’t let bitterness block your view. What matters most isn’t how God heals—it’s that He still does, and He still gets the glory.

This message unpacks what it means to “bear arms” in the Spirit and how to demolish strongholds—false beliefs that take root in the mind and quietly erode our faith. Using powerful examples from Scripture and everyday life, we’re reminded that some battles must be fought beneath the surface. Before we overcome what’s out there, we have to confront what’s in here. Don’t fall back—hold the line. Your freedom is worth fighting for.

In a message titled Freedom of Speech, Pastor Jarod explores the biblical weight of our words in a culture that celebrates saying whatever we want. While the First Amendment protects free expression in the natural, Scripture reveals that spiritual speech carries binding and loosing power—shaping destinies, relationships, and even eternal outcomes. Drawing from James, Proverbs, and the words of Jesus, this message challenges believers to move beyond careless talk and align their mouths with the Word of God. With vivid illustrations and heartfelt moments, the sermon shows how past words can entangle us—but how the Spirit can set us free. Ultimately, freedom of speech for the Christ-follower isn’t about saying what we want; it’s about being set free from speech that no longer serves God’s purposes. This is a call to purify our language, break word curses, and speak life with heaven’s authority.

For Student Takeover Sunday, Pastor Josh breaks down the creation narrative and some student camp experiences to reveal God's heart for rhythms of rest in our lives. The Bible reveals that time is a gift from God to be stewarded, although our busy lives sometimes lead to a stewardship problem with time. We need to return to God's drawing board by studying Genesis 1 and the life of Jesus to rediscover His design for our lives.

Teaching Pastor Michael Stephens continues our Freedom series by looking at how Jesus dismantled a religious spirit that prioritized performance over relationship. Walking through stories in the Gospels, we see how cultural traditions had distorted God’s intent—turning rest into burden and obedience into competition. Jesus didn’t abolish the law; He taught and lived it rightly, revealing the heart of the Father and calling people up, not out. A religious spirit complicates what God made clear and tries to fix external behavior without healing the internal disconnect. True freedom is found not in rule-keeping, but in relationship with Jesus.

In this message, Pastor Jarod uses the image of message settings to reveal how the messages we choose to accept give more access to the messenger.

Based on 2 Corinthians 12:7–9, we see that Paul was harassed by a messenger of Satan, but instead of hiding it, he chose to boast in his weakness so the power of Christ could rest on him. Paul never played the victim—he stood under grace, not under the weight of his past. His story reminds us that God doesn’t always remove the thorn, but He does redeem it. It’s time to update your message settings.
