A woman on average is killed every nine days by a current or former partner in Australia. 1 in 6 women and 1 in 16 men have experienced violence inflicted by an intimate partner.
It is time for change and What Were You Wearing Australia is demanding that change.
The local group, created by Sarah Williams, aims to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence and to publicly call on politicians to implement systemic and institutional change.
Sarah, and fellow committee member Lisa Richmond, joined Tracy Mac to talk about the seemingly never-ending fight.
