The Newcastle Seed Library started in October 2020 at Wallsend Library with a selection of seeds sourced from an organic supplier. In November 2021 another Seed Library outlet opened at the Digital Library and then a third outlet opened at Lambton Library in March this year.

Newcastle Seed Library will have coriander seeds and a bee mix available for free in about 2 weeks, but is calling out to the community to donate seeds to the Library.
